Stray Angels is a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 2016. The activity is the rescue of street animals in need, and the process ends with finding a permanent home for each adopted dog or kitten. The organization does not have a physical shelter. Depending on their condition, the animals are placed in foster homes, veterinary clinics or hotels until they are cured and find their suitable adopters. The focus is foster care, treatment, rehabilitation, socialization and responsible adoption. Since its creation, SA has rescued and successfully rehomed over 700 dogs and cats in Bulgaria and abroad.
The association is supported only by donations and relies on the help of everyone who believes in the cause.
