George is going into surgery tomorrow 24/01/2024, after which he will stay another week in the clinic. He will then be neutered, vaccinated and ready for adoption.

George’s plastered leg was prepared for the upcoming arthrodesis. He underwent a primary surgical procedure to remove dead tissue around the wound, pieces of crushed bone were also removed, and a thorough cleaning of the affected area was done. The wound is very serious, so he remains under observation until doctors determine that major surgery can be performed . The easy solution would have been to amputate the limb, but there is a chance that George’s leg can be saved, the doctors will fight for this and we very much hope that the development will be positive. For all this to be possible, George will be in the clinic for a while time. In addition to the two operations, inpatient care strains the budget, but we cannot afford to compromise when it comes to the health of the animals. So far, George’s bill amounts to BGN 3,000, which must be covered, as well as the upcoming expenses. To help him, you can support him in his care or apply for a foster home after surgery, when he will be in dire need of love.
